What assistance is available and how to claim it.
Our procedures state:
Selected International, National, Inter-Provincial and Provincial events subsidy:
- 25% of the balance owing after all other financial support has been deducted for girl members, upon receipt of a ‘BC Girl Guides Fraser Skies Area Girl’s Financial assistance request form’ (available on the area website or from the Area International adviser). Not available if separate Special Area Subsidy is available.
- Financial assistance will not be provided if a member has paid less than 10% of the event fee out of pocket.
- The subsidy amount will be 25% of the amount shown on line L of ‘BC Girl Guides Fraser Skies Area Girl’s Financial assistance request form’ which is attached to these procedures.
Application for financial support is submitted via the GIRL’S FINANCIAL OUTLINE AND REQUEST FORM (FSA Financial Assistance Request Form 2018.docx).
Must apply for the assistance AFTER their trip, ideally within 60 days of getting back.
Must submit this form—no matter how many other forms submitted to other levels of Guiding, this is the one we use to pay out the subsidy.
